Spiral X core

A next-generation basic structure evolved with the adoption of high-strength materials.

Using Shimano's unique design and manufacturing methods, it thoroughly pursues higher strength against bending, twisting, crushing, and all directions. It uses a carbon tape made with high-strength resin realized through Nano Alloy Technology, in addition to Shimano's proprietary basic structure Spiral X that enhances rod performance from the ground up. Selected materials enable further high strength.

High Power X

A reinforced structure that further suppresses twisting during casting and fighting. It features Spiral X's outermost layer or a cross-structure of carbon sheets with carbon tape tightened in an X-shape over it.
