Born in 1959. As a turntable artist, guitarist, and composer, he is active worldwide, mainly in Asia (South Korea, China) and Europe, in addition to Japan. He also produces artists like Kahimi Karie and Mariko Hamada, conducts music workshops with children with disabilities, and creates sound installations, demonstrating his talents in various fields.
In film music, he has worked on 『Kaze Hana』 (2001, directed by Shinji Sōmai), 『Identity』 (2003, directed by Tomorowo Taguchi), 『Canary』 (2004, directed by Akihiko Shiota), 『I Love My Sister』 (2007, directed by Hitoshi Anno), and 『Ultra Miracle Love Story』 (2009, directed by Sōko Yokohama), among others.

The original is Jun Miura’s autobiographical youth novel 『Iro Soku Ze Nereishon』. It tells the story of an unpopular boy in the midst of "youth neurosis" who awakens to music, experiences encounters and farewells through travel, dreams of rock, and grows over one summer. The film adaptation, shot entirely in Kyoto, was directed by Tomorowo Taguchi, a close friend of the author. It marks the revival of the legendary duo following 『Iden & Tithi』, which garnered overwhelming support and empathy from young audiences. The screenplay was written by Kosuke Mukai, known for 『Linda Linda Linda』. The protagonist Jun is played by Daichi Watanabe, a promising new talent who was selected from over 2,000 auditionees and was an active high school student at the time. Also featured are Chiemi Horii, making her first film appearance in 23 years; Lily Franky, praised for her performance in 『Gururi no Koto』; Asami Usuda, who blossomed as an actress in this film; and musicians Kazunobu Mineta (Ginnan BOYZ) and Shigeru Kishida (Kururi), who have recently been active in films. This miraculous cast brings together young people in the midst of youth and adults who once enjoyed their youth, creating a new masterpiece of youth cinema that makes hearts race and feel excited.
