We use materials that have been sawn from logs, processed into planks and squared timber, and then air-dried for over 20 years, ensuring they are sufficiently dry. The finish is applied using natural raw lacquer, rubbed and wiped. Only raw lacquer is used, applied with a lacquer brush and wiped clean. Once sufficiently dry, this process is repeated five or more times. The raw lacquer beautifully enhances the finest polish of the red sandalwood, creating a texture that is said to be like the "diamond of wood," with an indescribable feel that fits perfectly in your hand. Because the material itself is thoroughly dried, it feels more "comfortable" than heavy. The weight is not excessive due to the many years of drying. This is similar to red sandalwood or ebony chopsticks; the comfortable, fitting sensation that cannot be experienced with ordinary chopsticks is invaluable.
