「滋賀渡船6号」は、山田錦の父系にあたる「短稈渡船」の兄弟品種と言われています。
香りは控えめで落ち着いていて、滑らかな優しいアタック。渡船の特徴を活かした米の旨味、きゅっと引き締める酸が味のバランスが良くしています。
大吟醸らしい華やかな香りはありませんが、しみじみと旨さが伝わるお酒です。
