To meet the need to "preserve terrestrial digital broadcasts in beautiful quality," the high-quality compression technology "HEVC" built into the newly developed Medalist BD engine enables "2K HEVC long-duration dubbing." Compared to conventional long-duration modes, it suppresses quality deterioration, and in 2.4x HEVC mode, dubbing can be done at the same quality level as DR mode. It does not enjoy the same quality as DR mode.
