While the combo's prowess can be heard in hard bop-style tracks like "People Puttin' People Through Changes" and "Juluis," the true essence lies in "The World of the Children" and "Conversation Piece," which expand on "First Impressions." The occasional Latin flavor and beautiful melodies offer an interesting glimpse into the direction of his subsequent work, "La Dee La La."
