In the upward action, a slight recoil of the rod tip allows for an immediate change of direction, and a slight slack enables an instant stay. Utilizing the characteristic of responding immediately to delicate rod work, it is possible to carefully mark the same depth with a technical action, making it possible to target fish that have stopped biting in a sophisticated manner.
