The first generation 892 used titanium frame SiC ring guides with a total individual weight of 9.2g.
The second generation 892 uses titanium frame TORZITE ring guides with a total individual weight of 4.0g.
This is a difference of -5.2g, a 56.5% weight reduction.

The first generation 892 rod had a total weight of 172g.
The second generation 892 rod has a total weight of 143g (prototype).
This is a difference of -29g, a 16.9% weight reduction.

While maintaining the same moment, all possible weight reductions have been made.
Furthermore, the performance surpasses that of the first generation.

The first generation 892 had a full 30t tip and a 30t + 40t butt.
In contrast, the second generation 892 uses a composite of 30t + 40t for the tip and 30t + 40t + 46t for the butt.

To inherit the action of the first generation 892, the mandrel has not been changed. By eliminating sluggishness with high elasticity, both the tip and butt have improved "stiffness," "sensitivity," and "rebound force."
This allows for more aggressive yet delicate lure manipulation in strong river currents than ever before, covering all strong river currents that "MID STREAM" cannot handle.

Specifically, in strong currents after heavy rain or with tidal differences of 4 meters or more, high-specific-gravity lures become the primary choice due to the flow speed. This evolution allows for operation without feeling sluggishness in the blank when using sinking minnows in eddy currents or salt wedge seams, or when enticing bites with vibes and sinking pencils by rolling them along the riverbed with light jerks.

This is not a superficial evolution. The 46t material is not easily usable without data cultivated "on the field." Depending on the region, flood patterns hold the dream of a large fish rush, which is a compelling attraction for anglers.

Tested while targeting large seabass species in large, medium, and small strong river currents after heavy rain, using medium to large minnows, sinking pencils, and vibrations from 24g to 31g, with an emphasis on the operability of fast-paced lures utilizing a short rod.

Designed with a delicate tip that barely yields to the water resistance of lures in strong river currents, and a strong, tenacious butt capable of full casting 28g vibrations using pendulum or swinging casts, providing ample leverage for landing fish class (5kg or more) without changing footing and reeling them in with one hand.

Regarding knots, please use friction knots that do not create a knot bulge on the leader.
For leader length, 1.5m (1 hiro) to 1.0m (yabiki) can be used with fewer troubles.
Casting with the leader knot outside the tip guide is recommended. Long leaders are not recommended.
