Concept [Artist's Thoughts]
■ Alleys crowded with houses and buildings, red lanterns and neon signs. Electrical wires and cables strung between buildings, intertwined and hanging like living organisms.
We have captured a piece of a story in a single photograph, depicting a coexistence of such old townscapes with a near future, and the experience of getting lost in a mysterious foreign land.
Please be drawn into this foreign city, which feels somewhat retro and nostalgic, yet also evokes a sense of the near future.

About the Artist - Jack Poi FILM
■ Biography
1984 Born in Mie Prefecture. Grew up observing rural snack bar streets and factory complexes.
2006 Graduated from Nagoya University of Arts, Department of Visual Media.
2007 Self-taught in photography. Adopted the artist name "Jack Poi Film."
2009 First exhibition at a work display event.
2010 Photo manipulation
2012 Held an exhibition in Shibuya. In the same year, held a group exhibition in Nagoya.
2013 Started mail-order sales of works.
■ Likes old things, decaying things, mysterious places, and structures of rust and iron.
Creates foreign cityscapes based on photographs of these subjects and explores nostalgic places.

■ The unique aesthetic beauty of Asia is referred to as "Asian Gothic," and this term also encompasses a sense of the wild and rough.
