What is the Aglycone Type?
Soy isoflavones exist in two forms: "glycoside type" with sugar attached, and "aglycone type" with sugar removed. There is a difference in absorption.
Glycoside type isoflavones, found in foods like tofu, are absorbed after intestinal bacteria break off the sugar.
On the other hand, the aglycone type has the sugar removed from the start, allowing for quick absorption regardless of intestinal bacteria activity.
