【Usage Instructions】【How to feed】- Since they are nocturnal, feed them in the evening.- Please feed once a day in the evening※. ※Because Fukuro Momonga are nocturnal, the amount given per day should be approximately 5-10% of their body weight (about 5-10g for a 100g body weight).- In addition to Fukuro Momonga food, also provide side foods such as fruits and vegetables.- For menu balance, refer to specialized breeding books, and adjust the diet according to the Fukuro Momonga’s condition and health.- Remove uneaten food before it spoils.〈Feeding young Fukuro Momonga〉- When starting with weaning foods or similar for young Fukuro Momonga, soften the food with a small amount of warm water.- Start with a slightly loose (porridge-like) consistency, and gradually reduce the moisture content as they get used to it.- For adult Fukuro Momonga, if dried food seems difficult to eat, soaking it slightly can make it easier to consume.※ Sankō Fukuro Momonga Food is not puffed, so slightly higher temperature hot water makes it easier to soak. Use a small amount of hot water; since it adheres to the food, the temperature drops quickly, so there is no concern about nutrient deterioration.〈Switching from other foods〉- When switching to adult Fukuro Momonga food, it is easier to feed if you give it together with their favorite foods.- Instead of giving separately, sprinkling or mixing the food allows the aroma and flavor of preferred foods to blend, reducing wariness.- The new food may be refused initially due to suspicion. Adding some tricks to make it easier to eat can help the transition go smoothly.- Try methods suitable for each individual’s personality.- If you give favorite foods together, they may eat the preferred items first and become full, leading to reluctance to try unfamiliar food.- It seems better to give only the food at mealtime first, and then offer other foods after they finish, to prevent picky eating.
