The sole work by SAMUEL PURDEY is reissued on colored vinyl! SAMUEL PURDEY is a duo unit formed by Gavin Dodds and Bernie Hurley, early tour members of Jamiroquai. Their only album, "Musically Adrift," released in '99, featuring producer Eliot Scheiner and guitarist Eliot Randall, who are associated with Steely Dan, is now reissued with a welcome colored vinyl specification!
This work, which gained attention for being cited as a favorite by Suchmos, is a masterpiece that allows you to enjoy the brilliance of songwriting colored with mellow grooves. It includes the ultimate killer tune "Lucky Radio," which was also released as a 7-inch single, the captivating "Whatever I Do" with its enchanting chord progressions and chorus work, the disco number "Only When I'm With You" with its impressive talkbox phrases, and an exquisite cover of Carole King's "Bitter With The Sweet." Even a quarter of a century after its release, this is a monument of contemporary AOR that has not faded and continues to shine!
