Salvatore Ferragamo
Salvatore Ferragamo is an Italian fashion designer. He studied anatomy at the University of Southern California in the United States, where he learned techniques for making shoes that do not hurt the feet, and also obtained several patents for shoe-making techniques. He had a strong commitment as a shoemaker, believing in comfortable shoes, and it is said that he could tell a person's physical condition just by touching their feet.

In the United States, he gained fame as the "Shoemaker to the Stars" by catering to Hollywood stars. His clients included Hollywood actresses such as Ingrid Bergman, Marilyn Monroe, and Audrey Hepburn.

In 1927, he returned to Italy and opened Salvatore Ferragamo in Florence. Although the company went bankrupt in 1933 due to the aftermath of the Great Depression, he rebuilt it by acquiring clients among royalty, nobility, and celebrities. In 1960, Salvatore Ferragamo passed away.

Even after his death, the brand, Ferragamo, was passed down to his wife Wanda and children. In 1967, led by his second daughter Giovanna, they launched ready-to-wear for women and men. Today, it has become a global total fashion brand, including bags, wallets, and perfumes.
