Use a straight, firm spatula such as a butter knife or chopsticks.

(1) Insert the spatula vertically about 10 times to push the floating oil downwards. (Stirring vigorously from the start may cause oil to spill.)

(2) Once the oil has settled into the hole made by the spatula, insert and twist the spatula several times.

(3) When the almonds and oil are well incorporated, lift and shake the spatula up and down to achieve a creamy consistency.

*Hard lumps may remain at the bottom of the jar, so be sure to thoroughly mix the bottom area.

*If used with oil floating on top, the almonds may become dry and crumbly at the end.
