THE LOCH NESS MOUSE / III (LP)

The Loch Ness Mouse, a male-female guitar pop band from Norway, releases their 2022 album on LP! The Loch Ness Mouse, centered around brothers Jørn Johannes Aaleshaug and Ole Johannes Aaleshaug from Norway, released the first two works of a trilogy through the Japanese label P-Vine. They released their self-titled debut album in 2016 and "II" in 2019, concluding the trilogy with their seventh studio album, "III," to commemorate the band's 30th anniversary.

The lyrics of the songs on the album "III" reflect the brothers' working-class roots and tell stories of the music they encountered in their youth.

This album includes "Tune to Green," a tribute to Roddy Frame (Aztec Camera), "The Summer at the Sawmill" and "Stories," the mellow "Shibboleth" inspired by Everything But The Girl, and "The Innermost Point," an inspiring folk-inspired track that may be their most powerful song to date. Guests on this album include former members of The Loch Ness Mouse, Selina Manesh (4D), and Hilma Nikolaisen, who is now a successful solo artist.

The Loch Ness Mouse has been nominated twice for Pop Album of the Year at Norway's Alarmprisen (music awards). The Norwegian daily newspaper Klassekampen published a rave review of "III," stating, "It shows why The Loch Ness Mouse is Norway's best pop music band," and praised it as "undoubtedly their best album yet."
