The highly anticipated second album from Sorry, a leading act in the next generation of UK indie/alternative music! The five-piece band Sorry, who emerged from the same Brixton Windmill (live house) scene as Black Midi, Shame, and Goat Girl, has solidified their position as one of the UK's most creatively gifted new bands. They now release their long-awaited second album, "Anywhere But Here," on Domino, following their acclaimed debut album "925."
The latest work features production by Adrian Utley of Portishead and Charlie Andrew, known for his work with alt-J, among others. The band shares a passion for lo-fi sounds like grunge, trap, and shoegaze, crafting their unique musical world.
While their debut album "925" had a more electronic sound, this new album pays homage to classic 1970s songwriters like Carly Simon and Randy Newman.
Furthermore, Asha's understated yet sweet vocals create a balanced contrast with the dissonant guitar sounds reminiscent of early 90s bands like Slint and Tortoise, and the irregular beats found in artists like Kanye West and Capital Steez, which Sorry presents in this work.
Limited edition, includes Japanese obi strip and insert with commentary, pressed on clear bottle green vinyl.
