Muso Domestic Canola Salad Oil is made using exclusively canola from the Takikawa Canola Production Cooperative (Takikawa City, Hokkaido), a rare domestically produced rapeseed with a low self-sufficiency rate.

The variety used is "Kizaki No Nata Ne," a low-elliptic acid variety developed domestically. The Kizaki Nata Ne from Takikawa is rich in oleic acid. Of course, there is no concern about genetically modified organisms.

The oil is extracted solely by pressure, without the use of normal hexane. It is refined using a hot water washing method, and no phosphoric acid, oxalic acid, or caustic soda are used in the refining process.

This is Japan’s first domestically produced canola salad oil made from JAS-certified factory-produced canola.

*Note:* Salad oil standards are regulated by the Japan Agricultural Standards (JAS). Only oils produced in JAS-certified factories and passing quality inspections can be labeled as "salad oil."
