| Yves Saint Laurent was a fashion designer from French Algeria, or a fashion brand named after him. It has become a globally renowned brand in France. He led the fashion industry alongside Coco Chanel, Christian Dior, and Paul Poiret. Until his retirement in 2002, he was active as a top designer for 40 years and was called the 'Emperor of Mode'. The brand also develops a wide range of cosmetics products under the series 'Yves Saint Laurent Beauté'. Yves Saint Laurent is especially famous for the 1966 Smoking Tuxedo. It was an adaptation of men's tuxedos, creating a women's suit. In the 1970s, he announced designs such as Cossack look and folkloric styles. He became known as the 'Emperor of Mode' in both name and reputation.
