He led the fashion industry alongside Coco Chanel, Christian Dior, and Paul Poiret. Until his retirement in 2002, he was active as a top designer for 40 years and was called the "Emperor of Fashion." The brand also develops a wide range of cosmetics products under the series "Yves Saint Laurent Beauté." One of the most famous items from Yves Saint Laurent is the 1966 Smoking Tuxedo. It was an adaptation of men's tuxedos, resulting in a women's suit. In the 1970s, he announced designs such as Cossack looks and folkloric styles. He became widely known as the "Emperor of Fashion" in both name and reputation.
