Yves Saint Laurent was a fashion designer from French Algeria, or the fashion brand named after him. It has become a globally renowned French brand.
He led the 20th-century fashion industry alongside Coco Chanel, Christian Dior, and Paul Poiret. Until his retirement in 2002, he was active as a top designer for 40 years and was called the "Emperor of Fashion."
