Igusa carpets cover tatami mats in Japanese-style rooms, preventing dirt and damage. Unlike regular carpets, they have no pile, making it less likely for dust, hair, and other debris to become tangled, and they can be easily cleaned with a vacuum cleaner or lint roller (adhesive sheet). The back side is equipped with non-slip fabric with a slip-resistant coating, which prevents damage to the floor and provides a soft stepping feel, making it less slippery even on hardwood floors. Igusa has excellent deodorizing properties, neutralizing substances that cause sweat odors and pet smells. It can adsorb nitrogen dioxide, which is said to be one of the causes of asthma, and formaldehyde, one of the causes of sick house syndrome. As a natural material, it uses hinokiol extracted from Aomori cypress, which has high antibacterial power, providing antibacterial and deodorizing effects. The soothing aroma of igusa and its smooth texture remain, finished in a highly versatile natural simple design that complements both Japanese and Western-style rooms, making it a stylish interior addition.
