The long-awaited New Jersey performances from The Rolling Stones' NO FILTER US Tour 2019 are finally making their debut from GOLDPLATE! Both performances, held at MetLife Stadium in the New York metropolitan area, formerly known as Giants Stadium, are completely recorded with miraculous, superb original edited sound sources.
This is a perfect soundboard-quality recording with a clear and natural vocal and chorus, raw guitar sounds where even the scraping of strings can be heard, crisp and well-defined drums, and cheers that barely interfere with the performance. The well-balanced sound image is so good that it doesn't require mixing with IEMs. Amidst circulating recordings from various US tour dates, this is a superb sound source that the taper, due to its exceptionally high quality, kept secret and did not release online until now. It can truly be called a "miracle" for an audience recording from an outdoor stadium with a capacity of 80,000 people.
The setlists, of course, varied between the two days, with songs other than the standards being changed. The August 1st performance, "NJ1," features "Street Fighting Man" as the opener, followed by "Let's Spend the Night Together," "She's a Rainbow," and "Sweet Virginia." Keith performs "Slipping Away."
The August 5th performance, "NJ2," starts with "Jumpin' Jack Flash" and includes "You Got Me Rocking," the highly anticipated "Harlem Shuffle," and a consecutive "Monkey Man"! On the acoustic B-stage, "Let It Bleed" is performed, and Keith performs "You Got the Silver."
During the entire US tour, only Chicago and this New Jersey/New York venue hosted two performances (Mick also greeted the audience with "Hello NY"). These are unmissable, definitive recordings representing the NO FILTER US Tour 2019!
