"「べんがら」は土から取れる酸化鉄が原料で、旧石器時代から使われていた最古の顔料とも言われています。インドのベンガル地方が語源で、古くから日本の暮らしにも根付いていました。防虫・防腐の効果があり、布や工芸品だけでなく家屋の木材にも施され、現在でも目にする機会があります。片側にその【べんがら染】を、もう片側には素材そのままの【生成】の生地を組み合わせバイカラーの「のれん」を作りました。ハリがありしっかりとした生地は、複雑に入る透け感が特徴です。自然素材ならではでの趣もお楽しみ下さい。
