This is an ultra-rare title remastered from newly discovered master tapes. These are complete, never-before-released masters.

In 1979, QUEEN embarked on their third tour of Japan as part of their legendary JAZZ tour. They performed five shows at the Budokan (April 13, 14, 23, 24, 25) out of a total of 15 dates. Astonishingly, sound sources from four of these performances have now been discovered. These sources are being released under the title "UP FIELD TAPES BUDOKAN," with two performances per title, for a total of two releases. VOL.1 contains the performances from April 14 and April 23, while VOL.2 contains the performances from April 24 and April 25.

Furthermore, replicas of the tickets from the day of the performances, discovered alongside the sound sources, are included.

While these are audience recordings and not of high fidelity, they are valuable records of a rare Japanese tour by an unparalleled band in rock history, and are being released due to their high documentary value. Naturally, dedicated fans accustomed to audience recordings will be able to enjoy them, but please understand that these are not intended for collectors new to this type of material.
*Disc 2's master quality was extremely poor, to the point where noise obscured the music. However, we have managed to recover and include it through remastering. Please consider Disc 2 as a valuable historical document, akin to a bonus disc.
