This is the definitive edition, featuring the complete Christmas Show held on December 24th during the UK tour for the album "A Night at the Opera," including the latest 2011 BBC broadcast version!
This is the 1975 Hammersmith Odeon performance, familiar to Queen fans, but this edition is centered around the version newly re-broadcast by the BBC in March 2011. It has been edited into a complete edition with excellent quality audio and video, surpassing previous releases by including parts that were previously cut or incomplete. Listening to the CD, the mix is clearly different from previously circulated versions, with a sharper and significantly clearer sound quality, allowing you to appreciate the excellence of the latest 2011 broadcast version. Although this latest source is also incomplete, the unbroadcast portions have been supplemented with audio sources of the highest quality, resulting in a fully restored complete version from the intro before the concert to the encore.
The DVD video is also based on the BBC TV broadcast and includes Bob Harris's introduction. For the encore songs where no cameras were rolling, recreated images have been added as a slideshow to present the day's concert in its complete form. This is an original edited version from the Masterstroke label, featuring unprecedentedly clear sound quality and beautiful visuals, similar to the CD.
Furthermore, although not complete, the 2009 BBC TV re-broadcast version, which has the best picture quality, is also included unedited, allowing you to compare the audio and video with different mixes. The DVD also includes 5.1 surround sound in addition to the original stereo audio.
