This is the first-ever complete audience recording from the "May 8th, 1985: Budokan" concert, known as the legendary performance on the first day of their final tour in Japan. Previously, recordings from the first Budokan show were either poor quality or incomplete, capturing only about half of the show even with good sound. Now, a live album is finally available that can be enjoyed in its entirety with excellent sound quality. The sound is exceptionally clear and beautiful. This is because it is sourced directly from the original master cassette provided by the taper, ensuring ultimate freshness without any dubbing. Recorded from the front row of the arena, the clear, focused sound cuts through the air with no distortion or wavering, projecting the atmosphere of the Budokan 34 years ago directly from the speakers. The realism is so profound that closing your eyes conjures up the octagonal space and even its unique scent tickles your nostrils. Particularly outstanding are the gentler songs. The acoustic guitar played during "Is This The World We Created?" in the middle of the set is exquisitely detailed, with each note resonating. Freddie's vocals stretch endlessly, accompanied by the hall's natural reverb, creating a solemn, church-like resonance. Following this, "Love Of My Life" is enhanced by a vast audience sing-along, its beautiful harmony melting the listener's heart. Furthermore, the performance itself is top-notch. In fact, this date is renowned as an exceptionally brilliant performance among the 1985 Japan tour dates. While the officially released "FINAL LIVE IN JAPAN" portrays Freddie as tired, negatively impacting the overall impression of the 1985 tour, this first-day performance is energetic from the start. His vocals are powerful, and his intricate, free-flowing vibrato is superb. He sings with a rich, enjoyable tone, as if delighted by the boundless reach of his own voice. This is a magnificent live album, akin to a full-scale "LIVE AID" level performance.
