The "Yotsume Senpaku" coin purse features a traditional Japanese craft.

This dyeing workshop uses traditional techniques such as "katazome" and "tsutsugaki" to create patterns on fabric, which are then used to produce items like coin purses.

The outer fabric of the coin purse is finished with "katazome."
Katazome begins with creating a stencil from an original design. The stencil is placed on the fabric, and a paste made from rice flour, rice bran, and other ingredients is applied. The areas covered with the paste resist dyeing, remaining white in the pattern.

Once the paste dries, dye is applied with a brush. For single-color designs, this can be done in one step, but for multicolored patterns, the dye is layered one color at a time, like painting a picture.

Finally, washing away the paste with water reveals the pattern clearly, and after drying, the piece is complete.

This lengthy process results in a single piece of fabric that is transformed into a coin purse.
