Product Description
This is a plain unit tatami mat (oki-tatami). Simply place the unit tatami mats on the floor to create a Japanese-style space. Available in 8 colors. Please choose your favorite color from Beige, Black, Brown, Charcoal Gray, Dark Green, Gray, Light Green, and Red. Combining multiple colors is also recommended. While having a Japanese taste, the simple design does not disrupt the atmosphere of Western-style rooms, and the colors have been carefully selected to match your room and furniture. The surface is made of domestically produced (Kyushu-produced) igusa. Each strand is thick, the epidermis is thick, and the fibers are fine, making it elastic and durable. Igusa has natural air purification and humidity control effects. Additionally, Hiba essence is used on the surface of the igusa. "Hiba essence," extracted from Hiba trees in Aomori Prefecture, is processed onto the fabric surface using the manufacturer's unique technology. Hiba essence contains a component called Hinokitiol, which is extremely highly antibacterial among natural substances (it has antibacterial and deodorizing effects compared to untreated products). This product is lightweight, making it easy to carry for cleaning and storage. Non-slip joints are included on the back to connect the tatami mats. Since each mat is 70cm square, it is close to the size of a rug, allowing you to use it by placing a rug on top of the tatami.
