PIXUS inkjet printer photo paper (glossy paper) flagship model. Compared to previous product (PT-101), glossiness increased by 20%, scratch resistance increased by 50%, and product performance has greatly improved. Manufacturer's description
Feel and performance, all carefully crafted, Canon's professional high-end glossy paper.

"Canon Photo Paper Glossy Pro Platinum Grade Model: PT-201" separates the ink acceptance layer into a clear hard coat layer, a color development layer, and an absorption layer, and incorporates a color development enhancer that amplifies light in the resin coat layer to achieve high color development. Additionally, the paper's white base uses neutral white with high whiteness. Furthermore, it has evolved to meet the demands of professional high-end users, with vivid and excellent color reproduction, deep blacks, and high durability. Canon's high-quality inkjet printer glossy paper that leads artworks into art, the "Canon Photo Paper Glossy Pro Platinum Grade Model: PT-201."

Advanced 7-layer structure including newly developed clear hard coat layer.

By functionally separating the ink acceptance layer into a color development layer, absorption layer, and clear hard coat layer, and by smoothing the resin coat layer, glossiness has been further improved.

New color development enhancer added to the resin coat layer, suitable for professional high-end paper, providing white and color development.
Excellent color development

The vividness of printed colors is determined by the contrast between light absorption at specific wavelengths by ink dyes and light at other non-absorbed wavelengths, and the greater this contrast, the more vivid the image. "Canon Photo Paper Glossy Pro Platinum Grade Model: PT-201" has succeeded in expanding this contrast, resulting in superior color development compared to conventional photo papers, enabling vibrant, high-contrast prints.

Neutral white with high whiteness suitable for professional high-end users

Simply put, there are various types of white in paper. These include bluish white, yellowish white, dark white, bright white. Among these, Canon has chosen a white that combines "clear whiteness" and "neutral whiteness" as suitable for professional high-end artwork creation. "Clear whiteness" contributes to an expanded color gamut and more vivid colors. Moreover, this vividness is achieved without unnaturalness thanks to "neutral whiteness," allowing the dye's natural color to shine through, resulting in a natural hue.

Maximum glossiness

In glossy photo paper, the key elements are "degree of gloss" and "clarity of gloss." Canon has utilized its accumulated technology to further enhance the glossiness of the Glossy Pro Platinum Grade. The glossiness has been increased by about 20% compared to the previous Glossy Pro Platinum Grade. Additionally, with the newly developed clear hard coat layer, scratch resistance has been improved from the previous Glossy Pro Platinum Grade.
