その船に乗っていた「アークリット」という異星人は友好的で、ヘリオンにはなかった数々の技術を教えてくれたことによりヘリオンは栄えた。
しかしある日突然アークリットの裏切りにより友好関係は崩れ去った。
「腐食病」…人間の身体を奇怪な姿に変える伝染病を世に放ったのだ。
軍の兵士で主人公のダリオンは母親が腐食病に感染したという知らせを受け、絶望に打ちひしがれたが、腐食病の治療法を探す決意を胸に立ち上がる。
奥深い戦術の要素があるバトルシステム！
バトルシステムの基本は懐かしさを感じるターン制のバトルシステムで、バトルはと呼ばれる六角形にのマスで区切られたフィールドで戦う。
プレイヤーの行動には攻撃やアイテムの使用の他に「移動」があり、ネクサス内の移動や、時にはフィールドにあるギミックを稼働を行う。
また、キャラクターと敵の「向き」にも影響があり、背後からの攻撃で大ダメージを与える/受けるといった戦術の要素も盛り込まれているのが特徴。
