PGA presents a CD & DVD expanded collector's edition of "The Sacrifice of Victor," a video work featuring the special gig held at London's Bagley's Warehouse on September 8th, as an after-show for Prince's "Act II" European Tour's final day, the September 7th London Wembley performance!
The CD includes remastered soundboard audio from the video version's soundtrack. Additionally, as an extra, it features a studio live recording for BBC radio broadcast, recorded on the same day, September 7th, prior to the Wembley performance. Promo soundboards from the "Act I" US tour are also included.
The DVD features the video work "The Sacrifice of Victor," which is currently out of print and difficult to obtain, now released on DVD. This is a precious live video capturing the casual yet intense performance unique to an after-show, including Mavis Staples' passionate rendition of "The Undertaker" and The Steeles' "Heart in My Hand ~ Love Got a Hold on Me." The video extras include highlights from the "Act I" US tour, recorded at New York's Radio City Music Hall on March 26th, from leaked camera footage and soundboard audio. Promo videos from the "Act I" US tour are also included.
"The Sacrifice of Victor," released under the Prince name amidst conflicts with the record company at the time, has remained buried until now. This is a noteworthy new collector's edition!
