An alternate album, reconstructed by combining and re-editing the two titles "The Chocolate Invasion" and "The Slaughterhouse," which were simultaneously released as limited digital-only titles by NPG MUSIC CLUB in 2004, is now available as a 2-disc set in the latest remix and remaster edition!
Disc 1 features the two titles, "The Chocolate Invasion" and "The Slaughterhouse," with a newly reconstructed track order. This disc showcases a collection of high-quality songs that would have been a shame to keep limited to digital distribution only, ranging from funk numbers with strong hip-hop influences to pop tunes that highlight Prince's unique style. The remixes are heavier and sharper than the originals, resulting in a fresh alternate album with a different overall impression.
Disc 2 collects various alternate versions distinct from the main album. It primarily features club versions first unveiled at the NPG Audio Show, which differ from the original digital distribution sound sources, and also includes tracks from download singles.
