SiM releases a new album "PLAYDEAD" that can be called their world debut album.
SiM is a reggae punk band from Shonan consisting of four members who achieve the ultimate contradiction of "extremely heavy noise that is also difficult and catchy."
They sold out their first LA performance in 2022 and announced a contract with an overseas management, agency, and label this year.
In June 2023, they attracted over 10,000 audience members at their first appearance at a UK festival, and their first London performance was also sold out.
This album "PLAYDEAD" is their sixth full-length album after three years.
It includes 13 tracks, including the orchestral arrangement version of the TV anime "Attack on Titan The Final Season Part2" opening theme "The Rumbling," which became a worldwide hit, and the full-size version of the theme song "UNDER THE TREE" for "Attack on Titan The Final Season Final Chapter (Part 1)."
After the COVID-19 pandemic, they held a tour in April with moshing and diving allowed, and their annual self-produced festival "DEAD POP FESTiVAL" was held this year with the theme "Kai" (meaning "solution" or "unseal"), symbolizing a return to a scene where they face the restrictions of the pandemic head-on and rewrite the time for both the band and the audience.
The album title, meaning "playing dead," and the collection of songs showcase SiM’s true essence and new territory, with more aggressive content than previous albums, proving the stance of a live band that should be.
This is a new album released in a situation befitting a debut album that truly marks SiM’s full-scale global expansion!
