Product Introduction

The "Mutsuki" class destroyers were planned as sister ships to the preceding "Kamikaze" class. They were completed as destroyers equipped with 61 cm torpedo tubes to enhance their torpedo attack capabilities.
Numerous improvements were made, including a double-curved bow at the front of the ship and increased flare. However, these improvements led to an increase in the overall displacement of the ship, resulting in a drawback of a higher center of gravity and a decrease in ship speed. Furthermore, due to incidents such as the Tomozuru Incident and the Fourth Fleet Incident, performance improvement work was carried out.
Efforts were made to reduce weight by changing the shape of the bulwark around the bridge, shortening the boat deck on both sides of the bridge, and removing the 6m launch on the starboard side. However, dramatic weight reduction was not achieved, as it was simultaneously necessary to add a direction finder room and strengthen anti-aircraft armament.
A new mold has been developed and added for the ship's bottom parts.

The model can be assembled as either a waterline or full-hull model.
