Tokyo, Shinagawa. A massive housing complex called Yashio Danchi, with about 6,000 households and 69 buildings. It’s Tokyo, but somehow not quite Tokyo, a slightly strange housing complex, where five people connected by a “corrupt bond” since middle school lived... This is a Japanese film starring Arashi, produced in 2002 and released on October 18. It depicts the various processes of love, family, and school life of high school students living in Yashio Danchi, the last of Tokyo’s massive housing complexes, based on the青春時代 of Kaito Inohara (V6).
In summer 2014, those five members returned to the screen! Limited screening only in Tokyo during Arashi’s 15th anniversary memorial year, and later, in response to enthusiastic requests, it was also shown in Sapporo, Fukuoka, Osaka, and Nagoya, attracting a total audience of 360,000 people.
