The long-awaited 4th full album, the first in approximately two years! From Osaka's synth-pop unit, PicturedResort.
This is the 4th full album, "Overdreamt," released approximately two years after their 3rd full album, "Once Upon A Season," released in 2022!
"Overdreamt" builds upon the previous album, "Once Upon A Season," which featured many songs with strong danceable and funky elements and synth sounds. This new album incorporates a variety of styles previously released by the band, including songs focused on beats and grooves, as well as songs with a breezy synth-pop/AOR or dream-pop/vaporwave atmosphere reminiscent of their early work.
In addition to the previously released singles such as the guitar boogie tune "Epiphany," which resides in a languid atmosphere, the melancholic slow R&B "Worst Dawn" based on vaporwave and chillwave, and the dance track "Mild Child" where sharp rhythms and soft vocals are exquisitely matched, the album also includes new songs. These include the title track "Overdreamt," a fitting album opener with sparkling synths and lighthearted guitar, the breezy "Fantasy" with its mid-tempo pace evoking a calm beach, and the album's customary instrumental track series (Starcraft and Pathfinder) which are popular with fans.
Furthermore, "Your Song On The Radio," a mellow and sweet pop song that can be considered one of PicturedResort's representative works in recent years, and the vintage-sounding soft rock tune "2012" are included in different versions and mixes than their previously released 7-inch singles.
The album's artwork, which colors the songs, is an original illustration by graphic designer Kento Iida, with design by KMI.
This is a masterpiece filled with the "now" of PicturedResort, who continue to evolve 10 years after their formation, featuring a diverse range of 12 songs.
