The Paul McCartney HD Digital Archive Collection - Blu-ray Edition is a noteworthy collector's item that features superb high-resolution audio sources and video albums recorded in high-spec, high-quality audio and video, taking full advantage of Blu-ray's capabilities. This "Sound and Vision Audiophile" release includes separate sections for video and audio. The video content is an HD upconverted version of the video albums previously released on DVD in the DAP "Alternate Archive Series," now presented in Blu-ray specifications. Furthermore, for this new HD release, some video materials have been edited and changed to higher quality footage, resulting in a Blu-ray version with superior picture quality that surpasses the DVD.

The highlight of this release is the newly added, first-time appearance of audio source sections. These include highly sought-after and valuable audio files that are currently out of print or difficult to obtain, such as the DCC 24K Gold CD, which commands high prices on the used market due to its excellent sound quality, and the DTS Surround CD, which features the first official multi-channel surround sound release. These are all included in high-resolution audio formats. The Blu-ray audio playback screen displays track listings along with the jacket photos and label photos for each item. This is a digital archive collection that audio collectors will covet, compiling now-rare items into superb high-resolution audio.

■ The VIDEO ALBUM is presented in an upgraded version with some content changes compared to the DVD, in Blu-ray specifications. Audio can be selected from PCM Stereo and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround. EXTRA VIDEO includes all TV live footage, including newly added footage, in high-quality high-definition video.
■ BLURAY AUDIO includes the DCC 24K Gold CD remastered by Steve Hoffman, considered the best remaster faithful to the original and different from current remasters, in 96/24bit high-resolution audio. It also includes the original pressing of the NIMBUS Supercut, known as an ultra-rare and highly valuable premium record, in 96/24bit high-resolution audio. Additionally, it includes the DTS Surround CD mixed in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround.
