[Story]
Kang Tae-young (Kim Jung-eun), a poor international student studying French in Paris, loses her part-time job and starts looking for new work. The job she accidentally finds is as a housekeeper in a luxury apartment. While working as a housekeeper, she meets the owner, the second-generation chaebol Han Ki-joo (Park Shin-yang). The two soon find themselves drawn to each other, but then Yoon Soo-hyuk (Lee Dong-gun), who looks up to Ki-joo like an older brother, appears and also falls in love with Tae-young. Their love-hate relationship accelerates against the backdrop of Paris... The thoughts of each of the three individuals, and the hidden secrets that are gradually revealed. Where will this love ultimately lead...?
Starring: Park Shin-yang, Kim Jung-eun, Lee Dong-gun
Tae-young came to Paris to study film, but reality is harsh, and she can barely afford her rent. It is at this time that she meets Ki-joo, the son of a wealthy conglomerate, by chance. The two later reunite in Seoul and realize their feelings for each other, but their "love across social classes" faces various obstacles... This TV drama series, which aired in Korea in 2004, was so popular that the word "Aegiya," used by Ki-joo to call Tae-young, became a trend among couples. Kim Jung-eun, a popular star who appears in many commercials in her home country, gives a strong performance as the frank and emotionally expressive heroine. She lends great credibility to a role that captivates not only Ki-joo but also his nephew, Soo-hyuk. Park Shin-yang, who plays Ki-joo, a man with both the face of a cold businessman and a warm, humane side, and Lee Dong-gun, who plays the straightforward and good-natured Soo-hyuk, each add their own unique flavor. It's a picturesque Cinderella story, but the charm of the characters and the fast-paced development keep viewers engaged. (Shogo Yasukawa)
