Debuted in 2003 with the unit transluv with Kaori Okano. High school student Shinichi Izumi and the creature "Migi" that parasitizes his right hand.
A strange friendship—and battle—begins.

The original work was serialized from 1989 to 1995 in Kodansha's 'Afternoon' magazine by Hitoshi Iwaaki, and is a highly popular comic with a total of 12 million copies sold (Afternoon KC, 10 volumes, complete edition, 8 volumes).
Shinichi Izumi, an ordinary high school student, is suddenly attacked by a "parasitic" creature that flies in.
He narrowly avoids parasitic invasion of his brain, but the parasite attaches to and merges with his right arm. Named "Migi" by the parasite, a strange coexistence between human and parasite begins.
Shinichi, who was troubled by not being able to tell others the truth, gradually feels a near-friendship with Migi.
However, other parasites begin to appear, killing people one after another, and even Shinichi’s classmate Satomi becomes endangered. Among them, parasites like Ryoichi Tamiya, who appears as a high school teacher, begin to develop their own values.
Parasites believe they were born to eliminate humans who continue destroying the Earth. Humans try to kill these parasites and survive.
The question arises: who should survive?
Even so, Shinichi and Migi must protect the Earth and the loved ones.
Amid shifting values, Shinichi and Migi engage in battles against the parasites.
