通常の音楽CDだけでなく、MP3形式の音楽データを保存したCD-R/RWからの読み込みと再生にも対応したポータブルCDプレーヤー。圧縮されたデータをCD-R/RWに記録した場合、通常の音楽CDの10倍近くの曲データを一枚のメディアに格納することが可能だ。
音楽CDと同じCD-DAフォーマットのCD-R/RWの再生も可能だ。電源周りも、これに対応する形で強化されており、外付け乾電池ケースを含め、全部で4本の単3アルカリ乾電池により、約100時間の連続再生が可能になっている。リモコンは再生と停止のボタンをそれぞれ独立させた扱いやすいもので、暗い場所でも曲名データ等をはっきりみることのできる「光る液晶」モニタを搭載している。（高安正明）
