1. New model Quore Luce White Mon Ten & Nadeshiko
Quore Luce features a cute, rounded design that is not bound by traditional Japanese or Western styles, making it suitable for any room.
While having a presence as an Obon decoration, it was designed with the idea of being used year after year without becoming boring.
Includes two types of fire bags that can be used for next year’s Obon as well.
Typically, white lanterns are used only for the new Bon and disposed of during sending fire (※), but Quore Luce includes a fire bag with a Nadeshiko pattern that can be used for subsequent Obon seasons.
A cost-effective lantern that does not require additional patterned lanterns for future use.
Since only one stand is included, it can be replaced and used repeatedly.
The Nadeshiko pattern is designed to warmly welcome the departed loved ones.
※White lanterns are used as markers during the new Bon and are not used in subsequent years.
Originally, lanterns were burned along with the fire bag during sending fire, but nowadays it is often difficult, so some people cut the fire bag slightly to burn it together or dispose of it according to local rules, avoiding fire use.

Are you prepared for Obon?
Obon is a traditional event to welcome the spirits of ancestors and loved ones who have passed away, occurring once a year. It begins with the ‘Welcoming fire’ to receive the spirits and ends with the ‘Sending fire’ to send them off.
In households, lanterns are arranged as welcoming and sending fires to honor the spirits of ancestors and deceased family members. Since it is the time when ancestors return once a year, do your best to host them warmly within your means.
Traditionally,White lanterns for the new Bonwere prepared by the family of the deceased, whilelanterns with painted patterns (used annually) were generally prepared by relatives or acquaintances. However, due to recent changes in living environments, the display locations have shifted from Buddhist altars to living rooms, and families now often prepare all lanterns and Obon supplies themselves, with relatives or acquaintances offering offerings (cash, incense, etc.).Additionally, the timing for decorating varies by household. Decorations are typically started from July or August, especially from the 13th (first day of Obon) to the 16th (final day), but to avoid rushing, many begin gradually during the Obon month.Hasegawa responds to various requests regarding Obon memorial services.
【Precautions and maintenance tips】
・Be careful of water on the fire bag of the lantern, and avoid contact with incense or candles that could cause ignition.
