1. New型 Small Pearl Set White・Nadeshiko
The small pearl is a cute, rounded mini lantern that takes up little space and can be placed easily.
While traditional white lanterns for the new Obon are mainly hanging types, this design as a stand type allows flexible placement near the Buddhist altar, entrance, or living room.
It is an easy-to-assemble lantern that requires no tools. Please see the video for assembly instructions.
Includes two types of fire bags that can be used again next year.
Regular white lanterns are typically used only during the new Obon and disposed of during the sending fire (*), but the small pearl includes a Nadeshiko-patterned fire bag that can be used for subsequent Obon festivals.
An economical lantern that does not require additional patterned lanterns, suitable for next year’s Obon.
Only one stand is included, so you can change and continue using it.
The fire bag designed with Nadeshiko pattern and pink gradient creates a lively welcome for the departed.
*The white lantern is used as a marker during the new Obon and is not used in subsequent years.
Originally, lanterns were burned along with the sending fire, but nowadays it is often difficult, so some people cut the fire bag slightly and burn it together, or dispose of it according to local rules, avoiding fire use.
About LED battery lights
The LED battery light that mimics a candle uses 2 AA batteries.
To set the batteries,
Rotate the candle part to open.
Insert batteries matching “+” and “−”.
Rotate the candle part to close.
Set in this order.
*The light turns on when the candle part is fully closed.
The light is a “guidepost” for loved ones
When the lantern light is turned on, a natural orange glow similar to a candle flame spills out.
Obon is an important event where loved ones return home once a year.

2. Spirit Lantern, Large, Opposite
The Spirit Lantern, Opposite, is a mini-sized lantern with a rotating cylinder. Although it is a set of two, it is compact enough to be quietly displayed near the Buddhist altar or on a shelf.
The fire bag features bright floral patterns and a cute appearance like a bonbori, with gold chrysanthemum patterns on the top for a presence.
Can be used as a gift for those preparing for Obon or for personal use.
Spirit lanterns are intended for display in front of spirits, and can also be used as post-funeral decorations.
Economical for long-term use in funerals and Obon.

Uses a light bulb with a plug-in connection. No switch is included, so it can be used immediately after plugging in.

3. Obon Decoration Set, Easy Type with Ogaras
Gathered here are commonly used Obon decorations:【Makomo, Ogara, Ox and horse set, Lotus leaf】.
Ogara is used on the Houroku (welcome fire) and Okuribi (sending fire) on the Houroku (welcome fire).
Makomo is placed on the Buddhist altar and used to ward off evil spirits, serving as a boundary marker.
Fruits, water toys, and other offerings are placed on the lotus leaf. Ox and horse are considered vehicles used to travel between the Pure Land and the present world.
Are you ready for Obon?
Obon is a ceremony to welcome the spirits of ancestors and loved ones who have passed away into this world. It begins with the迎え火 (welcome fire) and ends with the送り火 (sending fire).
In households, lanterns are arranged as迎え火 and送り火 to honor the spirits of ancestors and deceased family members. Since it is the once-a-year occasion when ancestors return, do your best to welcome them with heartfelt hospitality.
Traditionally,White lanterns for the new Obonwere prepared by the family of the deceased, whilelanterns with patterns (used annually) were generally prepared by relatives or acquaintances.However, due to recent changes in living environments, the way of decorating has shifted from Buddhist rooms to living rooms and other spaces, with families preparing all lanterns and Obon supplies, while relatives and acquaintances often bring offerings (cash, incense, etc.).Furthermore, the timing of decoration varies by household. Decorations are usually started from July or August, especially from the 13th (迎え盆) to the 16th (最終日), but to avoid rushing, many start gradually during the Obon month.Hasegawa responds to various requests regarding Obon offerings and ceremonies.
また、飾り始めるタイミングもご家庭ごとに異なります。お盆初日（迎え盆）の13日から最終日の16日までの4日間を中心に飾るのですが、当日に飾り付けを始めるのは慌ただしくなってしまうため、お盆月（7月か8月）に入った時点で少しずつ飾り付けを始めておく方も多くいらっしゃいます。
