1. New model Quorelute White Mon-tem and Nadeshiko
Quorelute features a cute, rounded design that is not bound by traditional Japanese or Western styles, allowing it to be displayed in any room.
It has a presence as an Obon decoration but is designed to be used repeatedly every year without becoming boring.
Includes two types of fire bags that can be used for next year’s Obon as well.
Typically, white lanterns are used only during the new Obon and are disposed of (※) after the sending fire, but Quorelute includes a Nadeshiko-patterned fire bag that can be used for subsequent Obon festivals.
It is an economical lantern that does not require additional patterned lanterns for the next Obon.
Since only one stand is included, it can be used repeatedly by changing the fire bags.
The Nadeshiko pattern is designed to warmly welcome the spirits of loved ones.
※White lanterns are used as markers during the new Obon and are not used in subsequent years.
Originally, lanterns were burned along with the fire during the sending fire, but nowadays it is often difficult, so some people cut out the fire bag part and burn it together, or dispose of it according to local rules, avoiding fire altogether.
About LED candle lights
The LED candle that mimics a candle uses 4 AA batteries.
To set the batteries,
Rotate the main cover to open.
Remove the unit from the base and insert batteries matching ‘+’ and ‘−’.
Fit the unit back into the base and attach the cover.
Set in this order.
*The switch is the black button on the back.
The light of the lantern is a ‘guidepost’ for loved ones.
When the lantern light is turned on, a natural orange glow similar to a candle flame spills out.
Obon is an important event where loved ones return to their homes once a year.
Please turn on the light with the wish ‘Please come back without hesitation’.

The base is 17×42 cm, a compact size.
Designed to be placed on a shelf, chest, or any stand, making it easy to display anywhere.

2. Spirit lantern, small size, match set
Spirit lantern, match set, is a mini-sized lantern with a rotating tube. Although it is a set of two, it is compact enough to be quietly placed beside the altar shelf or Buddhist altar.
The fire bag features bright-colored floral patterns and a cute appearance like a bonbori, with a gold chrysanthemum pattern on the top for a presence.
Can be used as a gift for home use or for those preparing for Obon.
Spirit lanterns are intended to be displayed in front of spirits, and can also be used as post-funeral decorations.

3. Obon decoration set, simple type with okara
Gathered items commonly used for Obon decorations:【makomo, okara, ox and horse set, lotus leaf】.
Okara is used on the Houroku (Houroku) during the welcoming and sending fires.
Makomo is placed on the altar shelf and used to ward off evil spirits, serving as a boundary.
Fruits, water balls, and other offerings are placed on the lotus leaf. Ox and horse are considered vehicles used to travel between the Pure Land and the present world.

Obon is a ceremony to welcome the spirits of ancestors and loved ones who have passed away into this world. It begins with the ‘迎え火’ (welcoming fire) and ends with the ‘送り火’ (sending fire).
In households, lanterns are arranged as welcoming and sending fires to honor the spirits of ancestors and deceased family members. Since it is a once-a-year event, do your best to offer a warm welcome within your means.
Traditionally,White lanterns for the new Obonwere prepared by the family of the deceased, whiledecorated lanterns (used annually) with patterns were prepared by relatives or acquaintances.However, due to recent changes in living environments, the display location and space have shifted from Buddhist altar rooms to living rooms and other areas, leading families toprepare all lanterns and Obon supplies themselves, while relatives and acquaintances tend to bring offerings (cash, incense, etc.).Furthermore, the timing for starting to decorate varies by household. Decorations are usually put up from the 13th (迎え盆) to the 16th (最終日), but since decorating on the day can be hectic, many start gradually in the Obon month (July or August).
