1. Goshō Four-inch White Mon Ten Stand
Traditional white lanterns for new Obon were mainly hanging types, but the White Mon Ten Stand is a miniature version of the traditional shape with a stand included. It can be freely decorated near the butsudan, entrance, or living room.
For households with a place to hang lanterns, it is also possible to decorate in a space-saving way without using the stand.
About LED candles
The LED candle, modeled after a candle, uses a button battery (CR2032).
A test battery is included, so please use it as is first.
To replace the battery,
Open the main cover.
Replace the battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
Attach the cover.
Set in the order of the above steps.
*The switch is the ON/OFF button on the back.
The light of the lantern is a 'guidepost' for loved ones.
When the lantern light is turned on, it emits a natural orange glow similar to a candle flame.
Obon is an important event where loved ones return to your home once a year.
Please turn on the light at night with the wish 'Please come back without hesitation.'
*The string extending from the fire chamber is used to hang the lantern in a crossed state.
Product size (White Mon Ten)
The base is 13 cm wide and 42 cm high, a compact size.
Designed to be placed on a shelf, chest, or any stand, making it easy to decorate anywhere.
It can also be displayed at the entrance or living room, recommended for those who cannot hang or are hesitant to hang outside.
When finished using,
The white lantern (this product) is used as a marker during the new Obon and is not used in subsequent years.
Originally, lanterns were burned along with the fire for sending off the spirits, but now it is often difficult, so some people cut the fire chamber part slightly and burn it together, or dispose of it according to local regulations without using fire.
*The candle battery light can be used as an emergency light, etc.
*Please check the contents of the box and dispose of accordingly.
2. Spirit Lamp Small Match Size
The Spirit Lamp with a rotating tube is a mini-sized spirit lamp. Although it is a set of two (2 pieces), it is compact enough to be quietly displayed on a shelf or beside a butsudan.
The fire chamber features bright-colored flowers and a cute appearance like a bonbori, with gold chrysanthemum patterns on the top, giving it a presence.
It can be used as a gift for those迎えるお盆 or for personal use.
A spirit lamp is, as the name suggests, intended to be placed in front of the spirit, and can also be used as a post-funeral decoration.
It is economical because it can be used for a long time during funerals and Obon.
Plug-in type for easy lighting
It uses a light bulb connected to an outlet. There is no switch, so it can be used immediately after plugging in.
Creates a splendid atmosphere for Obon when lit with the rotating tube set.

Are you ready for Obon?
Obon is a ceremony to welcome the spirits of ancestors and deceased family members. It begins with the welcoming fire (迎え火) and ends with the sending-off fire (送り火).
In households, lanterns are set up as welcoming and sending-off fires to honor the spirits of ancestors and departed loved ones. Since it is a once-a-year event, do your best to offer hospitality within your means.
Traditionally,
White lanterns for new Obon
were prepared by the family of the deceased, while
lanterns with painted designs (used annually) were generally prepared by relatives or acquaintances. However, due to recent changes in living environments, the way of decorating has shifted from Buddhist altar rooms to living rooms and other spaces, leading families of the deceased toprepare all lanterns and Obon supplies themselves, while relatives and acquaintances tend to offer offerings (cash, incense, etc.).Also, the timing for starting decorations varies by household. Decorations are usually started from around the 13th (迎え盆) to the 16th (最終日), but since decorating on the day can be hectic, many start gradually during the Obon month (July or August).Hasegawa responds to various requests regarding Obon offerings and customs.
