Compact-sized lantern that does not take up space
Spirit offering light with a mini-sized rotating tube. Although it is a set of two (2 pieces), it is compact enough to be quietly displayed on a Bon shelf or beside a Buddhist altar.
The fire chamber features bright-colored flowers and has a cute bonbori-like appearance, but the top is decorated with a gold chrysanthemum pattern, giving it a presence.
It can be used as a gift for oneself or for someone preparing for Obon.
A spiritual offering light, as the name suggests, is intended to be displayed in front of the spirit, and can also be used as a post-funeral decoration.
It can be used for a long time during funerals and Obon, making it economical.
Easy to turn on with a plug-in system
Uses a light bulb with a plug-in system. There is no switch, so it can be used immediately after plugging in.
This lantern is designed for easy assembly without tools. Please watch the video for assembly instructions.
Lights as a "guidepost" for loved ones
When set with the rotating tube and lit, it creates a more festive Obon atmosphere.
Obon is an important event where loved ones return home once a year.
Please light the lanterns with the wish "Please come back without hesitation."
Product size
Size is compact at 13×35 cm.
It is a lantern designed to be displayed on a stand, such as on top of a Bon shelf or a chest, and can be easily placed anywhere.
During periods when not in use
It can be stored in a box.
The outer box size is also compact at 24×11.5×29 cm, making storage easy.
Are you ready for Obon?
Obon is a ceremony to welcome the spirits of ancestors and deceased family members. It begins with the welcoming fire (" mukaebi") and ends with the sending fire (" okuribi").
In your home, you can set up Bon lanterns as welcoming and sending fires to honor the spirits of ancestors and deceased loved ones. Since it is the once-a-year event when ancestors return, do your best to show hospitality within your means.
Traditionally,White lanterns for the New Bonare prepared by the family of the deceased, and otherObon lanterns with designs (used annually)are usually prepared by relatives or acquaintances, but recent changes in living environments have led to displays being adapted to homes, such as in living rooms instead of Buddhist altars, with the family of the deceasedpreparing all lanterns and Bon supplies, while relatives and acquaintances tend to prepare offerings (cash, incense, etc.).
Furthermore, the timing for starting to display varies by household. It is common to display from the 13th (the first day of Obon) to the 16th (the last day), but since decorating on the day can be hectic, many start gradually decorating once Obon month (July or August) begins.
We, Hasegawa, respond to various requests regarding Obon offerings and memorials.
