【Handling Precautions and Maintenance Methods】
Please be careful not to get the fire chamber wet or cause a fire from incense or candles.
The fan (top decoration part) is not glued, so when lifting, hold the base part.
Please turn off the lights when not in use.
When cleaning, first remove dust with a feather duster, soft brush, or cloth. Do not use chemical cloths, water, detergents, volatile chemicals, or insecticides.
Since many natural materials are used, please be careful of insect damage.
When using insect repellents, use ones suitable for lanterns. Overuse may cause damage, so please be cautious.

【Points for Using the Rotation Tube】
Attach the needle (holder) vertically to the light bulb.
Check that the needle is properly fitted into the rotation tube and place it horizontally.
Ensure that the rotation tube does not contact the light bulb or the upper foot.
Wipe the upper foot and rotation tube with a damp cloth to reduce static electricity.
Check that there is no dirt or debris on the tip of the core rod or on the glass part that supports the needle of the rotation tube.
The rotation tube operates on the principle of rotating due to the upward airflow caused by the heat of the light bulb. Therefore, even for products set as a pair, there may be individual differences in rotation speed depending on airflow. Please understand this in advance.

Have you prepared for Obon?

Obon is a ceremony to welcome the spirits of ancestors and loved ones who have passed away into this world. It begins with the '迎え火' (welcoming fire) and ends with the '送り火' (sending fire).
At home, lanterns are set as welcoming and sending fires to honor the spirits of ancestors and deceased family members. Since it is a once-a-year event when ancestors return, do your best to show hospitality within your means.

Traditionally,White lanterns for the new Obon,are prepared by the family of the deceased, whilelanterns with painted designs (used annually) are generally prepared by relatives or acquaintances.Recently, due to changes in living environments, the placement and space for display have shifted from Buddhist altars to living rooms and other areas, influencing the way families prepare for Obon, with the family of the deceasedpreparing all lanterns and Bon supplies,while relatives and acquaintances tend to prepare offerings (cash, incense, etc.).

The timing for decorating also varies by household. Although it is centered around the four days from the 13th (the first day of Obon) to the 16th (the last day), many start decorating gradually during the Obon month (July or August) to avoid the rush on the day itself.
