For example:- Colorful Overglaze- Unlike typical overglaze decoration, which fills in the outlines with solid color, Kakuzaburō Kiln applies a technique inspired by watercolor painting, creating soft, delicate hues that seem to gently glow.
- Underglaze Blue- Normally, cobalt pigment is painted first, then covered with glaze and fired.- At Kakuzaburō Kiln, the painting is done on top of the glaze, then fired.- This causes the cobalt pigment to melt into the softened glaze, resulting in a very smooth, gentle finish.
Both techniques are highly delicate and difficult, and each piece is a unique work of art created by the current master.
