Care for bentwood (Wappa)
● Dishwasher safe. Easily removes grease and oil stains.
After use, wash with dish soap and a soft sponge without scrubbing vigorously to remove dirt.
※ Do not use hard sponges, scrubbing brushes, or abrasive cleaners.

<Careful craftsmanship by artisans
The materials for bentwood (Wappa) are made from the most beautiful grain of cedar, using the annual rings' straight grain.
The straight grain part is thinly shaved, soaked in hot water to soften, quickly bent into a mold, and then dried.
The dried Wappa is sewn with cherry bark, fitted into the bottom with almost no gaps, and finished by sanding.
High-level skills of traditional craftsmen
Skilled artisans who have been engaged in manufacturing for over 12 years and possess advanced techniques and skills are eligible to take the "Traditional Craftsman" qualification exam, and those who pass are certified. Currently, five artisans at Odate Kogei-sha are recognized as traditional craftsmen.
