柄には国内最高級とされる北関東の樫を使用し、寒暖の差の激しい地域でゆっくり育った樫は、密度が高く非常に丈夫で薪割の柄に最適です。この関東樫の表面をバーナーで焼き上げることにより、害虫を完全に除去し表面を強化し耐久性がさらに増します。独特の風合い・質感も本物の関東樫の焼樫ならでわです。
