Expand the range of shad strategies. As fields become tougher, shads are increasingly used among moving baits. The strength of shads lies in their slender silhouette and tight action with suppressed appeal. While shads are effective in all fields and their average range is around 2 meters deep, we aimed to further expand this range. We pursued a shad that could be retrieved in depths shallower than 1 meter without diving too deep into the bottom. The body size is 63mm and 5.8g, slightly larger than conventional high-cut models, and it uses #8 hooks front and rear. It can be used with both spinning and bait finesse tackle. The goal was to achieve the smallest size that can be used with typical bait finesse tackle without stress. Compared to round crankbaits, shads are extremely weak against wind, even with the same body size. After comparative tests with the same body, we chose a moving weight system, which offers more advantages.
